Freedom = Good Work Rules For All
Fri Jul 04, 2008 at 07:01:15 AM PDT
The FIRST step in personal or household freedom is the ability for 1 person to afford all the can't affords below. Tens of millions of We-The-Peeee-Ons are working, and 1 or more of the following Can't Affords apply to our lives, we:
- Can't Afford housing in areas away from criminals and with good schools,
- Can't Afford our 'healthcare' or to lose the 'healthcare' we get with our job,
- Can't Afford to retrain for 1 or 2 years if we lose our jobs to market changes,
- Can't Afford reliable transportation to get and keep that better job, ...
Aside from not making enough money to afford the Can't Affords,
the rules we work under make sure we won't have the time to make the money to make the can't affords into can affords.
I recommend uniform national / global work rules for ALL of We-The-Peeee-Ons, rules which should apply regardless of your union or your non union or your supposedly exalted status in life.

McSlither 1, Dems Zilch. A LONG Campaign
Fri Feb 22, 2008 at 07:28:49 AM PDT
this will be.
As I was watching NBC and ABC tell me what to think last night,
out here in the Pacified Northwest of nicey nice Seattle,
the story line was changing to the fascist attacks on the NYT and how yesterday all the thoughts that are fit to think were unfair to Saints Cindy and John.

Howard ... Hammers McCain
This morning, on the WAPO, CNN and MSNBC websites it appears that the story is KIA or DOA.
Looks to me like once again, the Dems of DC have f'd it up.
Fight For The Middle? Who, Where, How?
Sat Jan 19, 2008 at 03:14:35 PM PDT
HOW Come it doesn't really really happen?
(aside from Howard & Edwards and too few others)
Well, because ....
Who is the middle is vaguely defined, which = those who are supposedly fighting for it haven't a clue about where the hell they're actually not fighting!
There are zillions of emotional images that crop into millions of brains when The Middle Class is mentioned by our feckless Dems, who are typically speaking as if they've been out on the barricades repelling platoons of corporate raiders and dashing the hordes of corporate lackeys assaulting the village of The Middle Class. I haven't see much of any fighting the raiders and fighting the lackeys for us peee-ons who service the village or for those who live in the village's nicer houses. This is my perception from almost 50 years on this planet, coming up on my 8th Presidential election, where I've mostly been in the lower income levels of our society.
To some of the illuminati, we peee-ons don't do enough to get our 'leaders' to fight for us. To me, the chicken and egg go the other way - too few DC Dems barely fight for the middle or the bottom, and the middle and the bottom barely vote and barely support them.
Hillary & Russert & TinFoil
Sat Nov 03, 2007 at 06:05:38 AM PDT
Something is rotten in Denmark, and it ain't old eggs. Hillary is the establishment's candidate, and there something suspicious about one of the biggest liars on t.v. going after her.
Where is my temporary tinfoil hat?
I didn't see the debate - I've got a very intense job and my sleep and my job comes first, mon. 04:30 to fri 15:00. I trust enough about the 10 or 30 analysis pieces I've skimmed about the debate to believe timmy was jumping on HRC, and to wonder, what's up? why all the unfavorable press all of a sudden?
I've been watching these corporate media elitist synchophant scum trash people since I was 20 in 1980 - how many of you were reading the NYT & watching the nightly news when the iran hostage bullshit was going on before the presidential election of 1980? It seemed like the sons of bitches could NEVER mention President Carter unless they chucked in words like ... 'weak'
Your 3 Jobs In The Community
Sat Oct 20, 2007 at 10:41:57 AM PDT
For we the peee-ons, there are 3 jobs we need to do in the community.
Let me define 'Pee-ons' a bit -- we aren't in charge. IF we ran for the job of leader, we don't have it. And, guess what! When there are about 140 million people working to make sure 300 million people have food, water, housing, healthcare (ha ha), education, transportation ...
NOT all of us can be 'LEADER' ! Most of us actually have to do something - hopefully it is useful.
So, what are our jobs in the community?

O'Reilly HAS To, SHOULD, Lie. We
Tue Jul 17, 2007 at 08:07:41 AM PDT
Should fight back, and unless we want to be 'victimized' like the weenie Dems, we HAVE to fight back.
What is different about lying about blog-o-topia is that there is instant push back with facts. (see over 1/2 the diaries coming out everyday)
We also need the soundbites - how about:
Protecting a corrupt President, and / or
Protecting a corrupt President's cronies, and / or
Protect crooks, and / or ...
versus
Protecting the troops, and / or
Protecting Opportunity, and / or
Protecting the Community, and / or
Protecting the Constitution...
Darth's Brilliant Eulogy
Sat Dec 30, 2006 at 06:35:41 PM PDT
An hour or two ago out here in the wilderness of Seattle I heard Darth give an eulogy for Ford.
I am sure that some intrepid blogger will go through the eulogy and point out the 10? 20? 30+? lies that nice moderate ethical Cheney delivered, and how what Cheney said has NO connection to the reality of the aristo-fasciscts policies.
umm.
follow the rant.
Better Dem Meetings = More Community
Tue Nov 28, 2006 at 09:35:46 AM PDT
I am going to leaflet 2 local Dem party re-org meetings with the proposal below the fold about ...
How to do meetings and proposals!
The first meeting will be the King County Democrats (Seattle etc) this Sat 2 Dec.
http://www.kcdems.net/...
The 2nd meeting will be the re-org meeting of the 36th Legislative District Democrats on Thursday 14 Dec.
http://www.soapblox.net/...
In my NOT humble opinion,
Efficient meetings = more work gets done to beat the opposition, AND,
more potential volunteer participation as volunteers see more of their precious time used productively in the community.
For meetings to be efficient, processes have to transparent and accessible, and what follows are a set of suggested process guidelines to insure transparency and accessibility.
Wishing for More Message From Dems
Tue Oct 03, 2006 at 08:35:16 AM PDT
I've had the local and national news on in the background for days, as I've had for years going back to the black days of Reagun's march to the White House with ...
his whoopee-do 'mandate' majority of 52.6 of Turnout of voting-age population (percent)
http://www.infoplease.com/...
and I am NOT too impressed, AGAIN, with Dem 'Message'.
In 2 weeks, I fear, we're gonna be back to All Terror All The Time, unless the Dems REALLY get their shit together in ways which ... they have't done YET.
The ActBlue Dems are such a breath of fresh air, AND,
one of their first jobs has got to be to get rid of the 'leaders' of this pathetic 'opposition' party.
ugh.

Newsweek / DLC Kos Slime Piece & History
Fri Jun 30, 2006 at 04:23:50 AM PDT
I just read the actual Newseek slime piece on Yearly Kos and kos and the netroots, and ... I went into the inspirational wayback machine.
First - a little background.
I read Time magazine regularily in the 70's - I thought the NYT hung Carter out to dry in '79 - '80. I am a peon and have been a peon in our great economy, keeping the rent paid comes before politics, but following politics has always provided great entertainment and greater frustration.
I REALLY enjoyed the various online analysis of the Newsweek slime, I REALLY enjoyed how fast the responses happened and how detailed the responses were.

Fighting To Build V. Fighting To Pay
Tue Jun 27, 2006 at 11:20:47 AM PDT
I had this come to me driving to work last week, at 06:30 a.m., looking at Mt. Rainier to the south.
I had to listen to a news cycle worth of "cut and run" V. the usual Dem lack of message, and I came up with ...
-- ideas.
The Thugs are fighting to pay their cronies,
thugs are fighting to pay in sweat, tears and blood of us peons,
thugs are fighting to pay in wrecked housing, wrecked roads, wrecked schools,
DEMS are ...
